St Francis Village was founded in 1965 by the Secular Franciscans. We are under the patronage of St Francis of Assisi. By tradition we were shepherded by Franciscan friars (OFM).  Many would say that St Francis Village Catholic Chapel is the heart of the village. We have Mass daily with Saturday Vigil and Sunday Masses. Weekly Reconciliation is offered on Friday at 9:30 am. Eucharistic Adoration is offered on Wednesdays am and Fridays from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. The Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet are prayed daily. We have an active Secular Franciscan Order (SFO) Community.

In St Francis Village we share our faith with our Protestant brothers and sisters and join with them for an Ecumenical Brunch after Mass and Services on the first Sunday of every other month. A number of Catholics who do not live in the Village join us at Mass. Visitors are invited to come and worship with us. St Francis Village, a "Little Bit of Heaven on Earth," sits atop a bluff overlooking Lake Benbrook to the west and meadows to the east. It's a delightful place – where wild deer and turkeys wander - and cottages sit snugly along winding lanes. We are a retirement community for independent seniors, 62 and older, in the thriving Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. The Village is a Gated community with 24 hour security.
